Why Support Alpha Lambda?

The Alpha Lambda chapter is proud to be a premier Teke chapter nationwide and to be among the top fraternities at Kansas State. The strength of the Alpha Lambda chapter is directly related to the strength of its alumni support! There are many compelling reasons to support Alpha Lambda, made clearer when viewed from this angle: Tau Kappa Epsilon is Kansas State. Since its founding in 1931 Tau Kappa Epsilon has been a leader among Kansas State fraternities, a reputation that extends to successful Teke alumni who move on to become leaders in their own communities. In a speech given at Alpha Lambda's 75th chapter anniversary event, April 22, 2006 in Manhattan, Frater Cliff Gilbert, #845 KSU '81 underscored for most Alpha Lambda alums how your financial support, both now and in the future, will keep the Alpha Lambda chapter strong for future generations of Kansas State Tekes (view Gilbert speech).

The ALPHA LAMBDA ANNUAL FUND is the Alpha Lambda chapter’s primary fund raising strategy. If financial support of Alpha Lambda is part of your annual charitable giving strategy, simply select the total dollar amount you are comfortable giving to Alpha Lambda each year. We will work with you to develop payment designations and terms that meet your needs. The amount and terms of your annual financial commitment will be summarized in an ALPHA LAMBDA ANNUAL FUND Commitment Certificate (refer to Alumni Resources). Participation in the ALPHA LAMBDA ANNUAL FUND is recommended and encouraged by the Alpha Lambda Alumni Association. Not ready to make an annual financial commitment? One time donations in any amount are welcome and appreciated.

Where to Donate:

Donations to support the Alpha Lambda chapter can be designated to any or all of these organizations:

Alpha Lambda Educational Foundation: ALEF is a tax exempt 501 (c)(3) organization. Contributions made to ALEF are deductible for tax purposes to the full extent of the law and focus on capital support to fund construction, furnishing and equipping portions of the chapter house used solely and strictly for educational purposes.

Tau Kappa Epsilon Building Association: TKEBA is not for profit organization that owns and leases the Tau Kappa Epsilon chapter house to the Alpha Lambda chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Contributions made to TKEBA are not deductible for tax purposes and focus on capital and operating support for portions of the chapter house used for non-educational purposes.

Tau Kappa Epsilon Scholarship Account: The TEKE Scholarship Program recognizes, rewards and promotes excellence within the Alpha Lambda chapter of Teke at Kansas State. Contributions made to the Tau Kappa Epsilon Building Scholarship Account are not deductible for tax purposes and focus on two of the three TEKE Scholarship Program primary initiatives: raise FUNDED dollars (collected and distributed in the academic year they are received) to support awards to Teke ACTIVES in leadership, academics, athletics and character; raise FUNDED dollars to support awards to Teke PLEDGES from selected Kansas high schools.
