TKE Parent’s Club Hold TKE House Clean Up & KC Meet & Greet/Send Off |

TKE parents Cheri Cox and Beth Holloway have been busy! Co-Presidents of the TKE Parent’s Club, Cox and Holloway recently planned and organized two new events that have already made a positive impact on the Alpha Lambda chapter of TKE.
The 1st annual TKE House Clean Up and BBQ was held on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the chapter house in Manhattan. Open to all Teke families, the house clean up is a day of cleaning, decorating, painting and fellowship to help ready the TKE chapter house for returning Teke undergraduates and the new school year. Cheri Cox led a small but dedicated group of parents and Tekes that accomplished a lot in one day, outlined in her recent memo (view Cox memo).
A meet & greet/send off social was held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Holloway home in Lenexa. Held for members of the Pledge Class of 2009 and their families living in the Kansas City area, the social was an opportunity for families of pledges and actives to meet, ask questions or just get a ‘feel’ of what to expect during school year.
